Gemba Concepts was founded in the year 2014 by two ex-Toyota employees who were a part of the vendor development program at Toyota India. Entrusted with the task of helping key Toyota vendors setup facilities, design operations & supply chain, optimize cost of manufacturing, the duo realized the vast opportunity available in optimizing SME’s & family managed businesses which in turn lead to improved profitability & sustainability of the Business. Starting with 2 clients , one of them being from the Apparel sector (Laguna Clothing Pvt Ltd) they quickly realized that the opportunity was vast across sectors & started diversifying in FMCG, Apparel & textile, Home Appliance, Aerospace, Metal & mining etc. What started as a small boutique consulting firm in Bangalore started catering to pan Indian within 3 years of its incorporation. Now with 40+ employees, many of whom are engineers & operations specialists, Gemba Concepts continues to apply proven solutions from the Toyota way of manufacturing to other sectors.
