Aero Structures Design Engineers

Position: Designer – Aero Structures
Location: Chennai
Educational Qualification
BE / B.Tech with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Experience must be in detailed design of aerospace structural parts ( Brackets / Clips / standoff / Gussets etc. )
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed design and development of aerospace structural components.
Create and modify 3D models ( mostly sheet metal ), assemblies, and 2D drawings in compliance with aerospace standards.
Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and assembly fit.
Support assembly definition, interface management, and configuration control using PLM tools.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including stress, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Ensure design compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills & Tools
PLM Tool: Enovia
CAD Tool: CATIA V5 with hands-on experience in:
Part Design
Sheet Metal Modeling
Drafting
Functional Tolerancing & Annotation (FTA)
Assembly Design
Installation Drawings
Preferred Experience
Experience in designing one or more of the following aircraft structures will be an advantage:
Fuselage structures
Electrical Wire harness brackets
Additional Skills
Strong understanding of aerospace design best practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and documentation skills.
