Main purpose The role has been created to manage global warehousing activities within a centrally located team. Candidate will be responsible for end-to-end warehouse management including but not limited to coordinating with warehouses, stock keeping, and manage warehouse exposure. The candidate will also be responsible to coordinate with internal teams viz operators, trade finance, traders for incoming & outgoing cargo for both physical metals and warranting business. Key responsibilities Coordinate with shipping scheduler, purchase and sales ops for inventories in and out of warehouses Coordinate with Global warehouses for planning and/or delivery of inventories. Record all transactions accurately on the System to keep all records up to date for internal consumers of data and information Optimise storage capacity and achieve best terms with warehouses Coordinate with warehouses for various documentation issuance including holding certificates (HC), releases, pledges Issue instructions to warehouses and send them pre-alerts of incoming cargo and ensure required Documents are available to them well before cargo arrival Perform monthly stock reconciliation and ensure accurate reporting on stock positions while relaying to commercial team Manage claims from warehouses, coordinate for dispute resolution and assign action points to appropriate stakeholders Ensure lowest financing cost implication by informing the Finance team timely on the inventory plans Execute warrant cancellation and inventory management plans with the warehouse Required qualifications Young professionals with 2+ years of warehousing/shipping experience. BE/MBA degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Economics / Finance or a related subject. 3 – 5 years’ experience in the metal/logistics industry preferred. Good knowledge of customs documentation and processes preferred. Good knowledge of Incoterms IT skills: Extremely good with MS Office Suite specially Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook. Should have hands on experience of leveraging MS Excel for data gathering & reporting Ability to analyze large datasets Attributes for success Fluent English essential as daily contact with traders and internal departments is conducted in English. Strong communication skills required as daily contact with international internal departments and customers/service providers throughout varying geographical areas is needed to conduct daily operations. Solid analytical capabilities, including the ability to summarize complex logistical issues and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity in written or oral form.
