Job Title: Access Control & Physical Security Specialist
Business Unit: Enterprise Worksite Services
Job Purpose:
Through the Security Operations Center, serve to safeguard organization’s assets related to physical security.
Responsible for performing day-to-day operations which includes:
Monitoring access alarms and events and taking appropriate action.
Monitor CCTV feeds and take appropriate actions.
Reporting site incidents as per laid down protocols.
Analyze threat intelligence
Access Card Management.
Essential Functions:
Operate Global Security Operations Center computer systems, control/monitor access, records management, etc., to ensure a safe and secure work environment for all Principal locations as assigned
Monitor radio traffic and provide prompt and accurate responses to security officers, other internal and external contacts. This will involve a variety of issues such as; dispatching security officers to handle a potential medical emergency, responding to fire/life safety systems alarms and other critical building systems alarms.
Coordinate and maintain card access for all employees, contractors, and third party suppliers in accordance with company requirements. Determine the appropriate level of access based on guidelines and information provided by leaders. Modify access for all cardholders as required.
Assist with the development and maintenance of Global Security Operations Center Operational Manuals to help ensure information is accurate. This includes maintenance of contact lists for home, field, and global locations and the ability to create procedures where gaps are located. Assist with monitoring a variety of internal and external daily intelligence sources including travel.
Respond to phone calls and emails. Coordinate with security and technical staff across locations for troubleshooting and security standpoint.
Coordinate maintenance of access control software and CCTV systems with EBS & ESS team and hardware maintenance and repairs with contracted suppliers
Coordinate for scheduled testing maintenance of critical systems and equipment to ensure they are adequately working at all times. This will include; monthly PA, duress, and intercom testing, weekly critical equipment tests, and quarterly alarms testing and quarterly lock-down testing. Complete all assigned projects within the given timeframe.
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Requirements:
Knowledge of access control systems, biometric systems, software systems, alarm monitoring systems, perimeter detection systems, asset protection systems, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance (CCTV) system, security console/command center systems, communication systems, life safety systems, fire and building codes/systems, and other related systems or equipment that may be interrelated to the overall security system and/or the protection of identified assets.
Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written)
Should be able to embrace change and adopt new tools quickly.
Should be willing to work in shifts onsite and be open for relocation.
Must have good interpersonal & relationship building skills.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
Minimum graduate, preferably from technical stream. Diploma Holders included with 10+2+ Diploma.
Minimum 2 years of work experience in managing access control systems and CCTV systems on Genetec platform.
