Associate Product Manager

Kraftshala · Delhi, India

Full-time · Mid-Senior level · Posted 1 month ago

The Short Version

Who we’re looking for: An Associate Product Manager who thinks in terms of problems, systems, and leverage - and operates in an AI-native way to build and deliver outcomes. You’re someone who is equally comfortable structuring ambiguous problems and getting your hands dirty building and testing solutions, with a strong bias toward action and real-world validation.

What the role is about: At Kraftshala, product sits at the intersection of student experience, revenue (admissions, sales, marketing), and internal operations. You will identify high-impact problems across these areas and take them from idea to outcome. A defining part of this role is the ability to translate ideas into working solutions quickly — using AI-assisted prototyping, APIs, and lightweight systems to test, iterate, and refine before scaling with engineering.

What makes this role meaningful: You will operate across multiple parts of the business with clear ownership and a direct connection between what you build and the outcomes it drives. The environment values speed, clarity of thought, and a problem-first approach — with strong emphasis on AI-enabled execution.

Why you should apply:

You’ll get the opportunity to work across multiple high-stakes problem areas
You will operate with high autonomy and faster execution cycles, moving beyond documentation-heavy product work into actually building, testing, and validating solutions yourself.
This role enables you to develop an AI-native way of working - where you can prototype quickly, automate workflows, and run rapid experiments instead of waiting on long development cycles.
If you’re looking to increase your scope, deepen ownership, and build with higher speed and leverage, this role will give you that opportunity.

About us: Kraftshala is India’s largest higher-education institution in terms of marketing placements, with a 94% placement rate, and we are gunning to become the world’s largest career launchpad, across domains.

We’re backed by a number of eminent investors including ex-unicorn startup founders and CXOs of global giants like RedBus, NoBroker, Nestlé, and Performics.

The Detailed Version

As an Associate Product Manager at Kraftshala, you will own high-impact problems across students, internal teams (admissions, sales, placements, operations, marketing), and external users. You will operate across the full lifecycle - from problem identification and structuring to solution design, execution, and measurable outcomes.

A core expectation in this role is the ability to increase your execution leverage - using AI-assisted prototyping, LLM integrations, and modular systems to move from idea to usable output quickly, validate in real contexts, and refine before scaling.

What you’ll own:

Problem Discovery & Structuring: Identify and prioritize high-impact problems across student journeys, revenue funnels, and internal workflows. Metrics to measure: Number of validated problems, clarity of problem definition, stakeholder alignment
Solution Design with Business Context: Design solutions grounded in user needs, operational constraints, and business impact. Metrics to measure: Expected vs actual impact, solution adoption, problem-solution fit
AI-Assisted Prototyping & Rapid Build: Use AI-assisted prototyping, prompt engineering, and tools (e.g., Cursor, Replit, Claude, Copilot) to build MVPs, workflows, or automations quickly. Metrics to measure: Time from idea to prototype, number of experiments run, validation rate before engineering involvement
Execution & Delivery with Engineering: Work with engineering to productionize and scale validated solutions. Metrics to measure: Sprint predictability, on-time delivery %, rework, cycle time
Workflow Automation & Systems Improvement: Build and improve internal tools, AI-in-the-loop workflows, and integrations to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency. Metrics to measure: Reduction in manual effort, turnaround time improvement, process efficiency gains
Iteration, Experimentation & Impact Ownership: Run tight build-measure-learn loops and continuously refine solutions. Metrics to measure: Feature adoption, conversion improvement, operational efficiency, experiment velocity

How you’ll operate:

You move fluidly between problem thinking and hands-on building
You use AI as a force multiplier across workflows and execution
You design AI-in-the-loop systems where AI drafts, routes, summarizes, or assists decisions
You prioritize speed to insight over perfect upfront planning
You think in systems, not just features

Monthly Outcomes

Month 1:

Build strong understanding of users, systems, and business priorities
Identify and validate at least 2 meaningful problem areas
Ship at least one improvement (feature, workflow, or automation)

Month 2:

Own planning and alignment with engineering
Translate validated problems into clear solutions
Prototype and test before scaling
Roll out at least one meaningful system improvement

Month 3+:

Deliver 2–3 high-impact initiatives per quarter
Establish a problem-led roadmap
Improve execution speed through better systems and iteration loops
Become a trusted problem solver for cross-functional teams

Must Haves:

2-4 years of product management experience for any digital product or online platform (We’re not fussed about the exact years of experience, as that’s just a proxy for your skill level.)
Hands-on experience or strong inclination toward AI-assisted prototyping, LLM integrations / prompt engineering, RAG, AI evals, or agent workflows (preferred)
Strong exposure to sales, marketing, or operational workflows
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity
Strong execution orientation with a bias for action
Experience building or improving internal tools or systems
Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and modern tooling

Selection Process:

As a small team, we must get to know each other before taking the leap. We want to ensure you succeed in your role within our team. Each conversation with us will last about 30-60 minutes.

Setting Expectations: This will be a call to understand your profile briefly and share the details of the selection process.
Conversation 1: This will be a conversation with our HR Lead wherein you can expect to be evaluated on the competencies needed for the job (mentioned above).
Technical Exercise: This is a specific assessment designed to evaluate your fit for this role
Conversation 2: This will be a detailed assessment review conversation to go over your submission for the technical exercise along with other competencies required for the role.
Conversation 3: A conversation with our CEO to ensure that there is a fit with the Kraftshala Kode.
Extending an offer: If all goes well, we will extend an offer that will mention the relevant details.
