Job Summary
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Amity University Punjab invites applications for the position of Associate Professor in Computer Science. Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in Computer Science and related domains.
Design and update curriculum in line with industry and academic standards.
Conduct lectures, laboratory sessions, tutorials, seminars, and project supervision.
Integrate emerging technologies and practical applications into teaching.
Research & Publications
Conduct advanced research in Computer Science and allied areas.
Publish high-quality research papers in Scopus/SCI/UGC-CARE indexed journals.
Guide Ph.D. scholars, M.Tech projects, and research initiatives.
Apply for sponsored research grants, patents, and consultancy projects.
Participate in conferences, workshops, FDPs, and collaborative research programs.
Leadership & Administration
Contribute to departmental planning, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.
Support NAAC/NBA documentation and academic audits.
Coordinate academic committees, industry collaborations, and placement activities.
Mentor junior faculty and contribute to institutional development.
Industry & Innovation Engagement
Develop collaborations with industries and research organizations.
Promote innovation, startups, incubation, and interdisciplinary projects.
Organize hackathons, coding competitions, workshops, and technical events.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Information Technology or related discipline.
Master’s degree in relevant field with minimum 55% marks.
Strong academic record throughout.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience after Master’s degree, as per UGC/AICTE norms.
Experience guiding research scholars and academic projects.
Proven research and publication record.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in reputed universities/institutions.
Funded research projects, patents, or consultancy experience.
Industry collaboration or startup ecosystem exposure.
Administrative or academic leadership experience.
