This role focuses on applying Microsoft cloud and AI capabilities to real business problems, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and operationally sound.The architect partners with Sales and Delivery teams from presales through execution, translating business objectives into pragmatic, implementable architectures while maintaining architectural integrity throughout delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesAzure-Native ArchitectureDefine end-to-end solution architectures built on Microsoft Azure, emphasizing cloud-native design principlesMake architectural decisions across identity, security, networking, platform services, data access, resiliency, and cost governanceEnsure solutions are designed for scalability, reliability, observability, and long-term maintainabilityEstablish architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails aligned to Microsoft and Hitachi Solutions best practicesAI & Intelligent SolutionsLead the design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions using Microsoft technologiesApply AI capabilities such as:Azure AI services and platform capabilitiesCopilot-enabled and intelligent application scenariosData-driven insights, automation, and decision supportPartner with clients to identify high-value AI use cases and translate them into deliverable architecturesEnsure AI solutions meet enterprise expectations for security, compliance, governance, and responsible useSoftware Engineering AlignmentProvide architectural guidance to engineering teams to ensure solutions are buildable, testable, and operableDefine application architecture patterns (service boundaries, APIs, integration approaches) appropriate for Azure-native solutionsEnsure alignment with modern delivery practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOpsReview designs and implementations to ensure engineering quality aligns with architectural intentPresales & Client EngagementPartner with Sales to drive solution design during pursuits, including discovery, architecture definition, and estimationContribute to proposals, statements of work, and executive-level presentationsClearly communicate architectural trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to client IT leadership and executivesAct as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycleDelivery Enablement & GovernancePartner with Delivery teams to ensure architectural vision defined in presales is carried through executionProvide ongoing architectural oversight and decision support during deliveryIdentify architectural risks early and drive mitigation strategiesSupport customer satisfaction through clear, proactive communication across teamsQualifications 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud architecture, or senior technical leadership roles.Consulting or professional services backgroundExperience working within architecture governance or design authority modelsDeep experience designing Azure-native solutions for enterprise environmentsProven experience delivering AI-enabled solutions with Microsoft technologyAbility to bridge business goals and technical executionStrong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skillsAdditional InformationRequired Skills
