We are seeking a results-driven BlackLine Solution Architect-Controllership Transformation to play a key role on integrating newly acquired entities, driving controllership transformation, and ensuring SOX compliance.
The position is based in India and will require collaboration with the Director – Controllership Systems and Transformation based in Toronto, Canada.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Lead onboarding of newly acquired entities into Blackline, including migration of their reconciliations, journals, and transaction matching processes.
Design and implement reconciliation structures and templates to align acquired entities with enterprise-wide FSCP SOX compliance controls.
Standardize and harmonize processes across entities, ensuring consistency with policies and practices.
Partner with O2C and PTP teams to convert legacy processes into standardized BlackLine-enabled workflows.
Develop and deliver training programs to finance users from acquired entities, enabling adoption of BlackLine.
Support policy harmonization across the organization by embedding standard templates, approval workflows, risk ratings, frequencies and reporting structures in BlackLine.
Drive continuous improvements and automation opportunities within BlackLine to support ongoing finance transformation.
Track progress and provide regular status updates to leadership on project deliverables and timelines.
Identify new matching use cases, data sources and configuring in-transit rules and implement best practices on pass rules, data sources and match sets creation.
Setting up partial matches, universal match sets, reason codes, in-transit definitions for cross module integrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Technology, Audit) to ensure smooth onboarding, issue resolution, and alignment with control requirements
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to cross functional teams as needed, resolving issues related to BlackLine implementation.
Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, customizations, and integrations (data collection workbook).
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required, CPA/CA is preferred
3-7 years of relevant experience in implementation of Blackline modules (Journals and Matching implementation preferred)
Certification in different BlackLine modules – Account Reconciliation, Journal entry, Transaction Matching, Invoice to Cash, Studio 360 etc considered a very strong asset.
Experience in M&A finance integration, including onboarding acquired entities into finance systems and processes.
Knowledge of financial systems such as Net Suite, Oracle, Trintech, ARCS.
Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office applications
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Problem solving (ability to “find it” and “fix it”)
The candidate must be a highly driven, high energy, focused individual that can work well with internal and external partner
