Purpose of the Position :
The Business Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for allocated customers, including distributors, in the Indian Subcontinent (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka) for BL Coatings & Adhesive Resins .
This role is responsible for managing the business of Special Acrylics and Polybutadiene in the Indian Subcontinent.
Key Responsibilities :
Promote actively the sale of existing product portfolio within the BL to a broad range of industries to contribute to the achievement of long-term profit, sales & MCM growth targets according to the Business Line strategy .
Responsible to achieve top-down targets & initiatives in close cooperation with the functional supervisor.
Active identification/monitor/realization of new opportunities
Ensure proper sales planning (short term / demand planning) and forecasting (rolling forecast) in close cooperation with the functional supervisor, Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
Responsible for market data management & competitive intelligence including the documentation with activity reports, opportunity & risk management, market data maintenance for the sub region.
Responsible for direct negotiation & management of supply agreements in the respective business line within the price management process
Responsible to support the regional head for the monthly IBP sign off, if applicable for the business.
Conducting and supporting new product development projects and new product launch process – in cooperation with Marketing and Applied Technology), follow-up on samples provided to customers and report on findings and results.
Active participation on the product & service complaint process.
Determining, analyzing and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Supporting the Management of Change process.
Implementation and responsible of the NWC Management (KPIs related to payment term, AR and overdue management to reduce NWC)
Implementation of all sales related activities and processes to ensure the process (inquiry) offer to cash and planning to production
Ensure the achievement all Quality & Safety related targets within the Sales Department based on the BL business rules Standard Operational Procedures
Integral Part of the respective Business Line Sales Team.
Education, Certification, and Relevant Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Science is mandatory, with a minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the relevant industry.
A degree in Chemical Engineering (BE Chemical) is preferred.
Candidates with a background in selling specialty chemicals are preferred. (e.g. acrylic polymer producer and polybutadiene producer)

Strong ability to effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to identify new business opportunities, analyze industry trends, and develop strategies to achieve business targets.
