Job Description – Category Head (Slimming & Beauty)

Role Purpose
The Category Head – Slimming & Beauty will be responsible for driving the overall growth, service excellence, innovation, profitability, and customer experience for the Slimming & Beauty categories across VLCC Clinics.

This role requires a strong blend of business strategy, category management, technical understanding, sales orientation, and operational leadership to ensure category performance, customer delight, and competitive differentiation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Category Growth & Business Performance
Drive revenue, profitability, and growth for the Slimming & Beauty categories across clinics.
Develop and execute category-wise business strategies aligned with annual operating plans.
Monitor category KPIs including sales, repeat business, package utilization, NPS, and profitability.
Identify opportunities for innovation, cross-selling, upselling, and service enhancement.
2. Service Excellence & SOP Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to operational SOPs, technical protocols, hygiene, and service quality standards.
Work closely with R&D and Technical teams to maintain consistency in service delivery.
Conduct audits and reviews to improve execution standards across centres.
Ensure successful implementation of new services, therapies, and technical innovations.
3. Customer Experience & Retention
Drive superior customer satisfaction and customer delight initiatives.
Monitor escalations, client outcomes, and service quality trends.
Develop customer retention and engagement programs to improve regularity and package completion.
4. Training & Capability Building
Partner with Training and R&D teams to identify skill gaps and conduct category-specific trainings.
Build strong technical and consultative selling capabilities within centre teams.
Support induction and certification programs for Beauty & Slimming staff.
5. Marketing & Product Innovation
Collaborate with Marketing teams for category campaigns, launches, and promotional initiatives.
Provide inputs on pricing, packages, customer insights, and category trends.
Support development of customer-centric programs and wellness solutions.
6. Team & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with Centre Heads, Technical Heads, Doctors, and Operations teams.
Align category goals with business priorities and regional performance metrics.
Guide centres on improving execution, productivity, and category profitability.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Slimming, Beauty, Wellness, or Healthcare operations
Sales and category management orientation
Strong analytical and business planning skills
Excellent stakeholder management and leadership ability
Customer-centric and operationally strong
Ability to manage multi-location operations and teams
Preferred Candidate Profile
Graduate / Postgraduate in Nutrition, Cosmetology, Healthcare, Business, or related field
8–15 years of experience in Beauty, Wellness, Slimming, Healthcare, Retail, or Service industries
Prior experience in category management, operations, technical leadership, or business excellence preferred
Strong understanding of customer lifecycle and service-driven businesses
