About the Role:

We are seeking a Citrix Architect–level professional with over 10+ years of expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Citrix environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Citrix XenApp, Xen Desktop, Citrix VDA, VMware, Windows Server platforms, and Active Directory in global enterprise environments. This role requires a proven track record of managing complex Citrix infrastructures, delivering migrations and leading virtualization initiatives across datacenters.

Requirements

Minimum 10+ years of IT experience with specialization in Citrix, Wintel, and Virtualization.
Expertise in Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop (7.x, 7.15, 2203 LTSR), PVS, and Citrix policies optimization.
Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, XenServer.
Solid understanding of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, DFS, clustering.
Experience with Citrix Netscaler, StoreFront, Secure Gateway, and Access Gateway.
Knowledge of AppSense, Microsoft App-V, ControlUp monitoring tools
Proven experience in datacenter migrations, farm/site design, effort estimation, and resource allocation.
Excellent troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and problem resolution skills.

Responsibilities

Define enterprise Citrix and EUC strategy aligned with business and digital transformation goals and Own architecture decisions across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-based Citrix platforms
Design large-scale Citrix environments and expertise in XenApp (5.0–6.5), XenDesktop (7.x/7.15/2203 LTSR), CVAD, PVS (7.x), Citrix ADC (10.x–13.x).
Architect core Citrix components including StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, Studio, Director
Lead multi-datacenter architecture with HA, DR, and geo-redundancy models
Drive modernization from legacy Citrix to CVAD and Citrix Cloud (DaaS)
Act as a technical authority for Citrix solutions
Optimize user experience (logon performance, profile load, HDX tuning) Also, design and optimize StoreFront architecture including authentication flow, enumeration, and resource aggregation
Architect Citrix ADC (NetScaler 10.x–13.x) – LB, SSL VPN, ICA Proxy, GSLB, HA
Translate business requirements into scalable, secure architectures and mainly having good understanding on Citrix solutions integrate with supply chain systems is an added advantage.
Define Citrix policies for HDX optimization, session control, printing, and device redirection
Architect application publishing models (hosted shared, hosted VDI, seamless apps)
Design profile and workspace management strategies (UPM, FSLogix, AppSense/Ivanti)
Architect and manage Citrix control plane services including Broker Service, Configuration Service, Configuration Logging, Delegated Administration, Monitor Service, and High Availability Service
Design and troubleshoot StoreFront components including Credential Wallet, Subscriptions Store, Configuration Replication, and Peer Resolution
Manage Citrix AD Identity Service, Trust Service, and Orchestration Service for secure brokering and identity flow
Oversee Citrix Telemetry, Analytics, and Environment Test Services for monitoring and health validation
Architect and optimize VDA components including Desktop Service, Group Policy Engine, Print Manager, HDX Stack Control, Encryption, Device Redirection, and User Experience Monitoring
Manage IIS dependencies including Citrix Delivery Services (Resources/Auth), Receiver for Web, and Configuration API app pools
Integrate Citrix with Windows Server (2008–2022), AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, VMware vSphere (5.x–8.x) environments including HA/DRS/clustering
Drive automation using PowerShell, Citrix SDK, and scripting frameworks
Lead RCA, performance tuning, ITIL processes, and ensure 24x7 operational readiness
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and architectural decision-making skills
Must have good documentation and mentoring skills.
Knowledge ITIL standards- Incident , Problem , Change and Major technical outage bridge management.
