Requirements

What You'll Do:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with strong experience in Python and FastAPI to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, strong database knowledge, and excellent problem-solving abilities
Experience with modern cloud-native architecture, managed Azure services, and data engineering tools will be highly valued
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI
Build secure, high-performance, and reusable backend services
Work with Azure cloud services and managed infrastructure components
Integrate backend services with databases, external APIs, and cloud platforms
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and data engineering teams
Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and follow best engineering practices

What We're Looking For:

3-5 years of experience in backend development
Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI
Good understanding of REST API development and microservices architecture
Experience with Azure cloud technologies and managed services such as:
Azure App Service
Azure Key Vault
Other Azure managed services
Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server

Experience with NoSQL databases is an added advantage.

Good understanding of database design, query optimization, and performance tuning
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
Good communication and collaboration skills

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with Databricks
Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Docker, or containerized deployments
Exposure to cloud-native application development
