WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN TEAM
Contracts Manager (Chemical Products) is responsible for leading, developing,
negotiating, and executing contracts for chemical products and related. The role
ensures full compliance with corporate standards and regional regulatory
requirements across APAC/ EMEA / North America. The position requires deep
commercial acumen, strong legal awareness, and technical understanding of
chemicals used in upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Drive value, efficiency, and expanded market advantage via end-to-end category
management phases, while ensuring operational integrity. Plan, organize and
control business, contracts, negotiations for acquisition of Goods and services.
Develop comprehensive agreements of Chemical products & associated services for
our Business Clients on timely basis. These agreements should ensure that all
acquisitions are made under competitive terms, optimizing cost-efficiency and
maintaining high standards of quality and service also fostering strong and
reliable business relationships.
ABOUT YOU
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or relevant experience stream with
minimum 6 CGPA.
* Minimum 3 years relevant experience in chemical products contracting and
negotiation or strategic sourcing, preferably in Oil & Gas, petrochemicals,
or chemical manufacturing.
* Experience of contracting one/multiple categories from Below list:
* Fuel Additives
* Specialized process chemicals
* Polymer catalyst
* Industrial gas
* Lubes additives
* Catalyst (Hydro processing catalyst, Olefins, Aromatic catalyst etc.)
* Understand Market, Industry and Businesses drivers to provide fast,
innovative, and value-added commercial support to our clients.
* Responsible for establishing Strategic vision for the category, supplier
identification evaluating and sourcing suppliers and managing ongoing
supplier relationships to drive projects to achieve the objectives of global
requirement.
* Evaluate global chemical suppliers and emerging players in APAC, EMEA, and NA
markets to support strategic sourcing decisions.
* Own commercial actions and drive business value through bids, renewals,
amendments, etc. by focusing on total system cost, provide assistance in
negotiating medium to high complexity contracts, drafting/review Statement of
Work, Global agreements and other vendor contracts with internal customer and
vendor legal, when needed as well as manage end to end contract lifecycle.
* Spend management – Market intelligence, analyze the expenditure and patterns
to identify opportunity for consolidation, supplier base rationalization,
demand management, alternative analysis etc.
* Monitor global chemical markets (petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, ,
catalysts, additives, etc.) to anticipate price fluctuations, supply
disruptions, and technological changes.
* Proactively communicate and collaborate within Projects organization/Business
Line, functions (i.e. Legal, Controllers, etc) and Procurement Category
families to maximize commercial outcomes.
* Ensure all contracts meet regulatory, trade, and compliance standards for
chemicals in respective regions (APAC, EMEA, and North America).
* Ensure all documents and exhibits are complete and included in the final
contract, all functional reviews and management approvals are
complete/obtained as required
* Handle complete Procure to Pay (P2P) activities and operations and
responsible for contract life-cycle management for assigned projects while
leveraging relevant partners across the organization.
* Bring industry expertise in supporting category strategies that drive savings
and business transformation. Analyzes the supply market to understand
industry trends, market competitiveness, goods, services, alternatives, etc.
* Minimum Annual spent managed minimum $ 1M.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience managing global contracts and working cross regionally
(APAC/ EMEA / Americas).
* Understanding of chemical product specifications, product safety, and
handling regulations.
* Knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, and logistics for chemicals.
* Analytical skills / knowledge of TSC/TCO-total system cost/total cost of
owner principles
* General industry and global market knowledge
* Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills
* Knowledge of PtP process including ERP systems
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work across different cultures and organizations
* Fast learner, results/customer oriented
* Travelling requirement- 5-10%
