We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in cleaning, analysing, and summarising complex datasets collected from surveys, interviews, mobile applications and secondary data sources

Key Responsibilities

Clean, transform, and validate raw survey and app-collected data for use in analysis and visualisation.
Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analysis to extract insights from datasets.
Develop clear, concise data summaries and reports for non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with the dashboard development team to ensure data accuracy and clarity in visualisations.
Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data to inform social science research questions.
Document data processes, code, and analysis logic for reproducibility and transparency.
Support the design and continuous improvement of data pipelines and workflow automation.

Technical Skills

Proven experience with data cleaning and preprocessing in Python, R, or similar languages.
Strong knowledge of Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, or similar).
Experience working with large, messy, or incomplete datasets.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.

Desirable Skills

Familiarity with survey methodologies and data collection processes.
Experience with database systems (SQL, PostgreSQL)
Knowledge of APIs or tools for app data integration.
Experience in social science research or public sector analytics.
Familiarity with ethical handling of sensitive and personal data.
