digital infrastructure. Our Data Center Customer Operations Engineer (COE)
Internship offers hands-on, real-world experience for engineering students and
graduates who are interested in data center operations, customer-facing
engineering, and infrastructure support. As an intern, you will work alongside
experienced engineers in a live data center environment, supporting customer
operations and day-to-day service delivery. This is a learning-by-doing role
designed to help you build practical technical, operational, and customer
engagement skills that are directly applicable to a future career in data center
operations or engineering. This is a 6-month, full-time internship and may lead
to consideration for future opportunities at Equinix. About The Team Joining our

and is vital to our success. Responsibilities Customer Operations & Service
Delivery Support day‑to‑day customer operations activities, including execution
of requests related to colocation services, cross‑connects, and smart hands
activities. Assist in coordinating customer requests with internal data center
operations and engineering teams. Execute assigned tasks by following defined
procedures, safety guidelines, and service standards. Update tickets,
documentation, and activity records related to customer requests and operational
work. Server Operations & Data Center Support Work alongside experienced
Customer Operations Engineers to support physical server and
connectivity-related activities within the data center. Assist with server
installation, decommissioning, cabling, labeling, and physical port connectivity
checks under supervision. Participate in data center walk‑throughs and
operational checks as part of standard service delivery. Perform basic, physical
hardware checks and issue identification, escalating according to established
procedures when required. Process, Documentation & Collaboration Support the
maintenance and accuracy of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational
documentation. Participate in team handovers and operational discussions to
understand real‑world workflows. Collaborate with Customer Operations, Data
Center Engineering, and Facilities teams to support smooth service execution.
Key Learning Opportunities Gain practical exposure to data center customer
operations and service execution Learn how customer requests are received,
coordinated, and delivered in a mission‑critical environment Understand
server-focused data center operations, including racking and stacking servers,
server installation and removal, structured cabling (copper and fiber),
labeling, and physical connectivity verification Build operational discipline
through hands-on work, shadowing, and collaboration with experienced engineers
Qualifications: Able to work onsite in Mumbai full-time Final‑year engineering
students or recent engineering graduates (Graduating Year: 2026/2027) Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Telecommunications) Available to
work full‑time for 6 months from July/August 2026 Strong written and verbal
communication skills with business proficiency in English Strong interest in
data center operations, server operations, or customer-facing engineering roles
