Data Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong expertise in risk systems and SQL development to support transformation initiatives within a corporate banking environment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in assessing legacy risk platforms and enabling the transition to modern risk systems.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with risk, technology, and business teams to understand existing risk systems (e.g., CreditLens, ELCM, or similar platforms).
Analyze and assess risks associated with sunsetting legacy risk systems and transitioning to new platforms.
Design, develop, and optimize SQL-based data pipelines and workflows.
Support the implementation and productionization of new risk systems in a corporate banking environment.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with risk and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL development and data processing.
Deep understanding of risk systems such as CreditLens, ELCM, or similar banking risk platforms.
Experience working in corporate or commercial banking environments.
Proven ability to evaluate system migration risks and support system modernization initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms.
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Familiarity with tools and platforms that support SQL-based development.
Understanding of data architecture and modern data engineering practices.
