Data Engineer, Management Processes Join us to lead the way in designing and developing Valmet’s next generation of data, reporting, and analytics solutions. In this role, your expertise will help build scalable data products that create real business value. We are looking for a Data Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to translate Valmet’s business requirements into scalable data solutions and build new data products. You have proven expertise in data platforms and data modelling, together with a strong understanding of modern data ecosystems, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data governance. As part of a global team, you will help design, build, and maintain reporting and data solutions that support enterprise-wide data and analytics initiatives. Depending on your background and expertise, your responsibilities could include: Translate business process requirements into data requirements and solution designs. Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources. Design, validate, and test data products to ensure quality, reliability, and business fit. Support, maintain, and continuously develop existing reporting and analytics solutions. Collaborate with the external AMS team to resolve major incidents and recurring issues. What we are looking for At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 5+ years of experience in data warehousing, analytics, and reporting development. Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data and analytics platforms. Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL databases, stored procedures, and query development. Experience with Microsoft Azure services, especially technologies related to data platforms and integration. Experience working with IT, business stakeholders, and development partners in a collaborative environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. Strong communication skills in English. A proactive mindset and interest in following industry trends and best practices.
