About the team- The Data Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for
defining the domain data strategy and driving the end-to-end delivery of
high-quality, trusted data products across Consumer and Customer data domains.
The role combines strategic data leadership with hands-on delivery
accountability, ensuring data assets are scalable, reusable, well-governed, and
aligned to enterprise standards. This role operates in a complex, global,
matrixed environment and requires strong multi-functional collaboration with
Product, Engineering, Analytics, Digital, Marketing, Commercial, and Market
teams. The Data Lead acts as the link between business outcomes and data
delivery, ensuring that data initiatives translate into measurable value,
insight, and decision-making enablement. Role Responsibilities- Set and execute
the Consumer domain data strategy, defining clear roadmaps and priorities that
align enterprise data ambitions with Consumer and Customer business outcomes.
Support end-to-end delivery of Consumer data products, accountable for value,
quality, and timeliness, while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture,
standards, and platforms. Partner cross-functionally across Product,
Engineering, Analytics, and Business teams to translate business needs into
scalable, reusable data assets that support insight, personalisation, and
growth. Embed strong data governance, ownership, quality, and compliance,
ensuring Consumer data is trusted, well-managed, and fit for advanced analytics,
AI, and regulatory requirements. Drive agile, efficient ways of working,
actively handling risks, dependencies, and delivery performance to balance
short-term delivery with long-term transformation. Build trusted partner
relationships and lead data culture change, championing data-driven
decision-making, accountability, and high-performing teams across global
markets. Experience / skills required – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or
equivalent experience in a relevant field (Data Science, Computer Science,
Statistics, Information Systems, or similar). 7–10+ years’ experience in senior
data, delivery, or data product leadership roles within large, matrixed
organisations. Demonstrable experience leading data strategy and delivery for
Customer and/or Consumer domains. Good understanding of data management concepts
including data architecture, governance, quality, integration, and analytics.
Demonstrated experience with agile delivery methodologies and tools (e.g., ADO,
Jira, Confluence). Excellent partnership management, communication, and
influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences. Experience
working with modern, cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks) and BI
tools (e.g., Power BI). Nice to Have Experience within FMCG / CPG or
consumer-centric industries. Certifications in data management, governance, or
analytics (e.g., CDMP, DAMA). Previous hands-on experience in data engineering,
analytics, or Python. Experience operating across markets with varying data
maturity and regulatory environments. Delivery of high-quality, standardised,
and reusable Consumer domain data assets. Increased trust, ownership, and
usability of Customer and Consumer data across the organisation. Strong
alignment between business priorities and data delivery outcomes. Effective
contribution to a scalable, AI-ready enterprise data foundation. Flexible
