Dean, School of Technology

The Dean of the School of Technology will provide academic and strategic leadership to build a future-ready School focused on engineering, computing, applied sciences, emerging technologies, research, and innovation. The Dean will be responsible for academic quality, faculty development, research growth, industry relevance, and the creation of an innovation-driven learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the academic and research vision of the School of Technology.
Lead the development and enhancement of technology programs across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
Promote interdisciplinary research, innovation, patents, and industry-linked projects.
Strengthen partnerships with technology companies, research institutions, startups, and government bodies.
Ensure curriculum relevance in areas such as AI, data science, cybersecurity, digital systems, software, and advanced manufacturing.
Recruit, develop, and retain outstanding faculty and researchers.
Oversee academic planning, laboratories, infrastructure, budgets, and compliance.
Encourage experiential learning, hackathons, incubators, and real-world problem solving.
Support accreditation, rankings, and quality assurance initiatives.
Act as a visible ambassador for the School nationally and internationally.
Qualifications and Experience
PhD in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
Strong academic and administrative leadership experience.
Proven record of research, innovation, and institutional development.
Experience in industry collaboration and technology-led education.
Familiarity with emerging technologies and future-focused academic design.
