Delivery Manager

Ciklum is looking for a Delivery Manager to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Delivery Manager, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, bespoke
software solutions. You will be the bridge between our North American clients
and our engineering teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within
budget, and to the highest technical standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundational background in full-stack
engineering, a proven track record of managing Fixed Bid (FB) and Time &
Materials (T&M) contracts, and the leadership presence to manage high-performing
distributed teams.

Responsibilities: 

* Project & Agile Management
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade web and mobile
applications using Agile/Scrum methodologies
* Own the project lifecycle: from initial estimation and resource planning to
scheduling, execution, and final delivery
* Masterfully manage Scope-based Fixed Bid deliveries, ensuring strict
adherence to requirements while proactively managing change requests and
risk mitigation
* Drive sprint ceremonies, manage backlogs, and use data-driven metrics
(velocity, burn-down) to ensure predictable delivery
* Client Relationship & Account Management
* Act as the primary point of contact for North American stakeholders,
managing expectations and providing transparent status reporting
* Navigate complex client environments, shifting from high-level strategic
discussions to deep-dive technical problem-solving
* Expertly manage the financial health of projects, including P&L
responsibility, billing, and choosing appropriate pricing models (T&M vs.
FB)
* Team Leadership & People Management
* Lead, mentor, and coach a multi-disciplinary team of developers, QA, and
designers
* Drive the hiring process: identifying talent gaps, interviewing, and
onboarding new engineers to scale teams effectively
* Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and foster a culture
of technical excellence and accountability
* Technical Oversight
* While this is a management role, you will leverage your early-career
experience in Front-end and Back-end programming to validate architectural
decisions and provide realistic effort estimations
* Ensure the delivery of "bespoke" software meets modern standards for
scalability, security, and performance
* Review technical documentation and ensure the team adheres to best
practices in CI/CD and DevOps

Requirements:

* Experience: 12–18 years in IT, with at least 5+ years in a dedicated Delivery
Management or Program Management role
* Pricing Models: Deep expertise in managing Fixed Bid (FB) projects where
scope management is critical, alongside traditional T&M models
* Technical Roots: A strong background in full-stack development (e.g., Java,
Node.js, Python on the back-end; React, Angular, or Mobile frameworks on the
front-end)
* Agile Mastery: Expert knowledge of Jira/Confluence, Scrum, Kanban, and Agile
estimation techniques (Story Points, Wideband Delphi, etc.)
* Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills,
specifically tailored for C-suite and technical stakeholders in the North
American market
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or
a related field. PMP or CSM certifications are a significant plus
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the "big picture" while maintaining an eye
for detail in execution
* Conflict Resolution: Skilled at navigating difficult conversations with
clients regarding scope creep or timeline shifts
* Operational Excellence: Proven ability to build processes that improve team
productivity and software quality
