Key Responsibilities
· Envision Support: Provide system‑level input and support during concept and envision phases.
· Concept Design: Develop block diagrams and select components/parts for new concepts.
· ECAD New Design: Create standard part requests and select approved parts for ECAD libraries.
· Wiring Diagrams: Produce wiring diagrams in TC/Visio or Capital Harness for new designs.
· Schematic Design: Develop and validate schematic diagrams in Capital Harness.
· 3D Modeling and Routing: Create 3D harness models and perform routing in TC/NX.
· 2D Deliverables and BOM: Generate 2D drawings, BOMs, accessory lists and formboard outputs in Capital Harness.
· Design Modifications and Reviews: Review and update wiring, schematic, 3D routing, 2D drawings and BOMs for change requests.
· EC and ECO Management: Create Engineering Change (EC) records, manage EC release and support ECO/ECN processes in Azure and Teamcenter.
· Drawings and Documentation: Prepare ECAD drawings, tester schematics and release PDFs (Status 60) in Teamcenter/2D design tools.
· BOM Alignment: Ensure BOM accuracy and alignment within Teamcenter and across downstream systems.
Required Skills and Tools
· ECAD Tools: Capital Harness, Teamcenter, NX, TC/Visio.
· PCB and Mechanical Integration: Experience with 3D harness routing and formboard generation.
· Documentation and PLM: EC/ECO/ECN processes, BOM management in Teamcenter, release workflows.
· Schematic and Wiring: Strong wiring diagram and schematic creation skills in Capital Harness.
· Simulation and Validation: Basic understanding of harness routing constraints, connector selection and tester schematic requirements.
· Communication: Clear cross‑functional coordination with ME, SW, QA and suppliers.
