Job description: Embedded Firmware Engineer – EV Charger
Location: Yelahanka, Banglore
About The Gig
We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to develop and maintain embedded software for EV chargers (AC/DC). The role involves working on real-time control, communication with BMS/vehicle systems, and ensuring safe and reliable charging operations.
What You’ll Do
Develop embedded firmware using C for microcontrollers
Implement charging algorithms (CC/CV, protection logic)
Work on communication protocols such as CAN, UART, RS485
Interface with BMS and vehicle systems for charging control
Perform board bring-up, debugging, and validation
Support DVT testing, field issue analysis, and production releases
Ensure compliance with charging standards like IEC 61851
Maintain documentation and follow structured development processes
What You Bring
B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Embedded Systems
1-3 yrs Experience
Strong embedded C/C++ programming
Experience with microcontrollers (STM32 / TI / NXP / Renesas)
Knowledge of RTOS (FreeRTOS or similar)
Understanding of power electronics basics and battery charging
Hands-on debugging experience (JTAG, oscilloscopes, CAN tools)
Experience in EV chargers or power electronics domain
Familiarity with protocols like OCPP or ISO 15118
Knowledge of MISRA C / Automotive standards
Reliable and efficient charger firmware
Robust safety and fault-handling implementation
Support for product validation and field performance
