Position Overview:
Location: Chennai (REHQ / Vallam)
Position Title: EV – Advanced Engineering Project (Battery)
Reports to: Lead
Notice Period: (30 Days*)
Function: EV Technical

What we need:
Exp: Minimum 3-9 Years of experience in Advanced Engineering Project (Battery) Automotive applications.
Qualification: BTech / BE / Mechanical/ EEE/ECE/Production/Automobile engineering
Industry Preference: Tier 1 and OEM with Battery Exposure.
Notice Period: Min 30 Days (Mandatory)

Technical Skills Required:
Minimum 4+ years of experience in automotive or High-Density Liquid cooled, Fast chargeable high cycle life cells / battery packs development, Hydrogen Fuel Cell developments.
At least 3+ years of focus on Advanced Engineering projects like High Density Liquid cooled, Fast chargeable high cycle life cells / battery packs, Hydrogen Fuel Cell Developments.
Strong Working Knowledge of EV Battery projects like Hydrogen fuel cell, solid state battery, sodium ion battery.
Should have hands-on experience in CAD, Structural & Thermal calculation & Simulation
Liquid cooled battery pack developments
Strong communication skills for presenting complex engineering topics.
Should have knowledge of automotive two-wheeler industry

What you’ll do:
Advanced Energy Storage & Fuel Cell
Lead the development and optimization of advanced cells for electric vehicle battery packs, ensuring high-density and superior thermal management.
Spearhead R&D initiatives focusing on fast-chargeable, highly safe cell technologies to improve overall user convenience and safety.
Integrate hydrogen fuel cell technologies into advanced powertrain concepts and evaluate their viability for future two-wheeler architectures.
Prototype Development & Testing
Oversee the fabrication, testing, and validation of advanced cell modules and fuel cell prototypes.
Establish test plans and protocols to evaluate the electrochemical performance, degradation, and safety parameters under extreme operating conditions.
Collaborate with testing agencies and labs to validate technologies against global regulatory standards.
System Integration & Architecture
Work cross-functionally to integrate advanced battery packs and fuel cell systems into the overall vehicle architecture.
Optimize structural, thermal, and electrical integration, minimizing mass and maximizing power output.
Technical Collaboration
Identify institute / companies working on advanced energy storage systems & can work jointly to develop products for Royal Enfield.
