EV - Power Electronics Design

Position Overview:
Location: Chennai (REHQ / Vallam)
Position Title: EV – Hardware Design Engineer – Power Electronics.
Reports to: Lead
Notice Period: (15-30 Days*)
Function: EV Technical

What we need:
Exp: Minimum 3-9 Years of experience in Power electronics Design for Automotive applications.
Qualification: BTech / BE / Mechanical/ EEE/ECE/Production/Automobile engineering
Industry Preference: Tier 1 and OEM with Power electronics design experience
Notice Period: 15-30 Days (Mandatory)

Technical Skills Required:
Design, develop and testing of On board /Off Board Charger and DC-DC Converter for Inhouse development as well Outsource supplier product.
3 or more years of demonstrated successful experience in Switch mode power supply, DC- DC Converter, Inverter design and testing.
Professional experience with the design, analysis, and/or testing of High frequency switch mode power supply products for EV application.
Professional experience in Altium, Hyperlinks etc.

What you’ll do:
Design, develop, and test power electronic systems, including inverters, converters, and power management systems.
Develop control algorithms for power electronic systems.
Perform simulations and analyses to ensure system performance and reliability.
Conduct prototype testing and validation to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate power electronics into larger systems.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in power electronics technology and implement them in ongoing projects.
Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
DFMEA, DFM,DFS
EMI/EMC Compliance as per AIS 156 & ECR 10 for EV application products
Support the transition of designs from prototype to production, including troubleshooting and resolving design issues.
Perform circuit simulation utilizing software like PSIM, MATLAB, and LTSPICE etc.
Good experience in testing equipment handling like DSO, Power analyser…etc
