Job Title: SOC Analyst L1 (Fresher)

Location: Chennai

CTC: Up to ₹3 LPA

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and motivated SOC Analyst L1 (Fresher) to join our cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong foundational understanding of Security Operations Center (SOC) processes and Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT) concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor security alerts and events using SOC tools
Perform initial analysis and triage of security incidents
Escalate incidents to L2/L3 teams as required
Assist in vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing activities
Analyze logs from multiple sources (SIEM, firewalls, endpoints, etc.)
Maintain proper documentation of incidents and responses
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident handling

Required Skills

Strong understanding of SOC operations and incident response lifecycle
Basic knowledge of VAPT concepts and tools
Familiarity with SIEM tools (like Splunk, QRadar – academic knowledge is fine)
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
Knowledge of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors
Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
Freshers or up to 1 year of relevant internship/training experience
Certifications like CEH, Security+, or similar (preferred but not mandatory)

Soft Skills

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills
Ability to work in rotational shifts (24/7 SOC environment)

Nice To Have

Hands-on practice in labs like TryHackMe / Hack The Box
Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash)
