Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Group Head – Investor Relations to play a leadership role in strengthening and expanding our Investor Relations practice. This role requires deep expertise in capital markets, investor engagement, and strategic communication, along with the ability to advise senior management and promoters of listed companies on market positioning, investor perception, and long-term value creation.
The Group Head will oversee key client relationships, shape the strategic direction of mandates, and contribute to the growth and institutionalisation of the IR practice. The role will also serve as a critical leadership position and successor pipeline for the future head of the Investor Relations practice.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Client Leadership
Provide strategic counsel to promoters, boards, and senior management on capital markets positioning, investor communication, and perception management.Lead and oversee high-value Investor Relations mandates, ensuring strong strategic advisory and consistent execution.Shape and articulate long-term equity narratives, aligning business strategy, financial performance, and investor expectations.Guide clients on valuation drivers, investor sentiment, peer positioning, and market expectations.
Investor Engagement & Capital Markets
Leverage deep relationships within the capital markets ecosystem to enhance investor access, credibility, and engagement for clients.Lead and anchor capital markets engagements including investor days, analyst meets, roadshows, and strategic investor interactions.Drive thought leadership in investor relations, bringing global best practices and innovative approaches to client engagement.
Business Development & Practice Growth
Play a key role in business development, expanding the firm's IR client base and strengthening relationships with corporate and market stakeholders.Contribute to the strategic growth and long-term leadership of the IR practice.
Team & Leadership
Mentor and develop senior team members, building a high-calibre IR advisory team.Serve as a successor pipeline candidate for the future head of the Investor Relations practice.
Candidate Profile
15–20 years of experience in equity research, investor relations, institutional sales, investment banking, or capital markets advisory.Deep capital markets expertise with strong credibility among institutional investors and analysts.Proven ability to advise promoters and senior management on capital markets strategy and investor communication.Strong network within the buy-side and sell-side ecosystem.Ability to interpret complex businesses across sectors and shape compelling equity narratives.Demonstrated leadership capability and experience managing senior client relationships.Strong strategic thinking, communication, and business development skills.
Education : CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent qualification preferred.
