Job Purpose Associate Director of Sandoz Core Infrastructure Services / Engineering organization is responsible for execution, continuous improvement, service delivery and operations of a specific function/platform OR developing and maintaining a technology roadmap that supports the respective Service Strategy of a specific function/platform. Job Description Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee the operational health, deployment, and lifecycle of the technology and/or platform solutions OR design and deploy technology solutions and/or act as L4 support during major and critical incidents. Drive automation of service deployments and management to enable modern delivery flows including DevOps and SRE, focused on efficiency, flexibility, speed, and lowest aggregate cost. Recruit, coach, and mature a consistently high‑performing team delivering on business and technology objectives. Drive organizational change and culture evolution by promoting Sandoz values and behaviors. Focused management of service operations and/or technology governance and external–internal interfaces in accordance with service operations and management processes. Manage a team of Individual Contributors (span of control 3–5) for Core Infrastructure Services, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services OR be responsible for a technology stack/platform with limited to no direct people leadership. Contribute to technical architectural activities for the responsible technology domain. Accountable for supplier management ensuring delivery quality and adherence to contractual obligations, including performance tracking and reporting. Track actual service utilization and supplier performance against business expectations and service levels. Support retain–recruit–hire–manage–coach activities for a globally distributed team of specialized technology professionals. Responsible for providing input into service/platform strategy development. Key Performance Indicators Stable, compliant, secure, and cost‑effective operations measured by Availability, Performance, and Capacity metrics with continuous YoY cost reductions. Responsiveness and recovery speed during critical incidents/issues in business. Automation‑led programmable infrastructure and platform services.
