Role Overview:
DeHaat is seeking energetic and purpose-driven interns for the Market Development role - a high-impact position at the intersection of agri-tech and rural commerce. In this role, you will have exposure in the agri-input value chain, building relationships with stakeholders, organizing demonstration events, and driving adoption of DeHaat’s products and digital solutions across your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Farmer & Stakeholder Engagement
Meet with farmers regularly to understand their needs and promote DeHaat's input products.
Build and maintain relationships with retailers, dealers, and lead farmers in the assigned territory
Coordinate regularly between farmers and the DeHaat Centres for seamless service delivery
Sales & Business Development
Promote and drive sales of agricultural inputs through direct farmer engagement
Identify new market opportunities and expand DeHaat's reach in underserved areas
Achieve monthly liquidation targets for input products at the farmers level
Event Organization & Promotion
Organize and execute promotional events, farmer meets, product demonstrations, and field days
Conduct awareness campaigns on modern farming practices and DeHaat's technology solutions
Technology Implementation
Learn and adapt to technology solutions
Demonstrate technology benefits to farmers and encourage adoption
Collect field data and provide feedback to improve technology solutions
Reporting & Coordination
Maintain daily activity reports on farmer meetings, sales, and market insights
Coordinate on inventory and ordders
Attend regular team meetings and training sessions

Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education
Currently pursuing or completed: Bachelor's / Masters degree in Agriculture / MBA in Agribusiness Management
Essential Skills
Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to handle retailers, dealers, and lead farmers effectively
Communication: Excellent verbal communication in Hindi and English; regional language proficiency is a plus
Technology aptitude: Willingness to learn and implement technology solutions on the field
Organizational skills: Ability to plan and execute promotional events independently
