For our office in Trivandrum, dSPACE is looking for creative and motivated professionals. You will work on exciting and technologically cutting-edge product development projects, in the areas of control prototyping, code generation and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation.

We are offering a position as a Lead Developer for validation solutions in the vehicle domain. In this role, you take ownership of plant model development activities, guiding the team to ensure maintainability, scalability, and alignment with HIL hardware requirements. As part of the development team, you will lead the setup and enhancement of plant models related to Battery Management Systems (BMS), Vehicle Control Units (VCU), Motor Control Units (MCU), Vehicle Dynamics, Instrument Cluster, and Telematics. Beyond implementation, you will address gaps, and drive improvements at both component and system levels. By combining your technical expertise with leadership, you will shape the validation ecosystem for vehicle systems. In doing so, you can expect a variety of exciting, challenging, and diverse tasks that you will solve together as a team.

Your Tasks
You own plant model development, guiding the team for maintainability, scalability, and HIL hardware alignment
You drive the creation and improvement of library blocks across vehicle control and telematics domains, addressing gaps to ensure model fidelity
You define technical direction for model setup, enhancement, and validation
You steer development to meet validation needs and OEM expectations
You mentor developers to ensure lean, sustainable practices

Your Qualifications
You have a B.Tech/M.Tech university degree in Electronics and Communication or Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
You have strong experience in system architecture and subsystems such as VCU, MCU, BMS, motor, inverter, battery, vehicle dynamics, instrument cluster and telematics, guiding implementation at a team level
You have strong knowledge in motor and inverter control methods and telematics systems, including Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies
You have deep expertise in MATLAB® and Simulink®, and have previous experience with vehicle modeling and simulation tools
You have strong C programming knowledge, applied to S‑Function development and integration with simulation models
You have hands‑on experience in HIL validation, ensuring model–hardware compatibility, and are familiar with SIL workflows
You demonstrate strong leadership in guiding development teams, mentoring engineers, and ensuring sustainable practices
You are familiar with Azure® DevOps and Git for version control and CI/CD workflows
You have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
