Responsible for design, development, modification, debug and/or maintenance of software systems
What will your job look like?
Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL
Work extensively with DB2 and IMS databases for data processing and transaction management
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Perform impact analysis, debugging, and defect resolution across development and production environments
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including analysts, testers, and production support
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Amdocs engineering standards and best practices
Support application modernization, performance tuning, and system stability initiatives
Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

Required Qualifications
2–6 years of hands‑on experience in Mainframe application development
Strong proficiency in COBOL
Solid experience with DB2 and/or IMS
Experience working on batch and online (CICS) applications
Understanding of SDLC, debugging, and production support processes
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment
Nice to Have
Experience in telecom, billing, or large enterprise systems
Exposure to JCL, VSAM, or performance tuning
Familiarity with modernization or migration initiatives
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models
