Manager, Product Software Engineering - .NET | Angular | PHP | SQL Location: Pune, India Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Product Software Engineering to join our expanding technology team. In this role, you will manage cross functional teams of developers in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. You will be engaged in both the strategy and execution of product development, leverage your deep technical expertise and understanding of the platform and service ecosystem to drive innovation and informed decision-making. This role requires a strong blend of technical depth, people leadership, and strategic thinking, along with active engagement throughout the engineering lifecycle. While it is not focused on day-to-day coding, the ideal candidate brings substantial hands-on development experience and remains closely involved in technical decision-making, guiding architecture and design, periodically reviewing code, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with the team to evaluate implementation approaches. You will play a pivotal role in shaping engineering culture, championing best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software aligned with business objectives. Success in this position requires a proactive, self-driven approach and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow cross-functional teams of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement Work closely with the teams to oversee the development of web applications using .NET, Angular, PHP and SQL Define and execute product engineering strategy in alignment with organizational objectives Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, design, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions Ensure application scalability, security, performance, and reliability through sound engineering practices Drive adoption of modern development methodologies, tools, and frameworks Establish and enforce coding standards, unit tests, code reviews, and best practices Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery commitments Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on the organization Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) 12+ years of progressive software development experience, including deep hands-on expertise in technologies such as .NET, Angular, PHP and SQL 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership or management roles, including at least 2 years in managerial capacity leading cross-functional or multidisciplinary engineering teams Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design Experience building and maintaining secure, high-performance web applications Proficiency with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and modern web technologies Demonstrated ability to lead teams in an Agile/Scrum environment Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Required Qualifications Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies Experience with microservices architecture Exposure to application monitoring and performance tuning Experience in a product-driven or SaaS environment Our Interview Practices To maintain a fair and genuine hiring process, we kindly ask that all candidates participate in interviews without the assistance of AI tools or external prompts.
