Job Description
In this role where you are expected to own and drive your and team’s assignments through all stages (business requirements, technical definition, development, testing, UAT, production support) to completion with high level of quality and within project timelines. This position requires implementing new oracle application modules with the assistance of external consulting resources as well as supporting existing application modules currently in use. Senior level development experience with Oracle’s development toolset is required as well as advanced troubleshooting skills. Requires guiding and mentoring technical and functional team members for their deliverables and monitor them. Performs reviews of team’s deliverables. Requires preparing and providing regularly status reports for team to project manager and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops new programs or makes changes to existing programs, according to business requirements. This will be in the areas of, but not limited to: Reports, Interfaces, Customizations, Extensions, and Workflow.
Facilitates and Leads requirement gathering meetings with business users. Assists business users with deciding on system configuration and setup of new and existing modules.
Works with all of Oracle’s development tools to resolve issues and build custom applications.
Performs design and development of custom solutions for gaps identified by business users.
Prepares test environments for business use after cloning activity. Works with Oracle support staff and business users to develop resolutions for application issues.
Investigates use of Application modules not in use as well as study Application modules in use.
Level 2 production support by troubleshooting issues and working rapidly to provide a workaround or resolution to the stated issue and End user Support can include using sqlldr to refresh tables for business reporting or for projects.
Works with key business owners to support and troubleshoot production system issues.
Monitors system health by evaluating system self-monitoring script emails. Assists with system maintenance tasks and Other relevant tasks or duties may be assigned.
Participates in other departmental tasks when needed or required. Is in tune with and follows Oracle’s technology path and gets trained on new technology that Oracle is incorporating into the e-business suite.
Provide technical support to other IT teams including systems that interface with the Oracle Applications.
Leads, guides, mentors and monitors team of technical and functional experts.
Leads design, development and testing of solutions by his/her team. Ensures team adheres to best practices and system compliances.
Follows and supports overall policies and goals for the companies Information Technology, including
maintaining established Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory IT general controls over the production environment.
Qualifications:
12+ years of experience with Oracle applications e-business suite (11i or r12)
12+ years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL and SQL tuning including SQL and PL/SQL development tools
12+ years of experience with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports
12+ years of experience with XML/BI publisher
10+ years of experience with Oracle Workflow Builder
10+ years of experience with a Unix flavor operating system.
Knowledge of general business operating principles.
Advanced troubleshooting skills
Ability to multitask and maintain composure when working with the business users.
Required Skills
Experience Leading technical and functional team (at least 5 members)
4+ years of experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) desirable
Good knowledge on Order Management, Pricing and EDI and Finance modules
(AP, AR, GL), SCM module of Oracle EBS R12.
Well versed with (Procure to Pay) P2P, Accounts to Close(A2C) and Order to
Cash (O2C) cycles.
Leads requirement gathering meetings with business users. Assists business users
with deciding on system configuration and setup of new and existing modules and
technical expertise on Oracle applications modules. Conflict management.
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with little supervision and within changing priorities.
Ability to analyze requirements and troubleshoot problems.
Strong business acumen and deep understanding of business processes
Strong presentation, and conflict management skills
Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of functional team members.
Ability to work in a matrix team environment with both internal and 3rd party development teams (onshore / offshore).
Hybrid Work Model: In-office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Work Location: Pune
Working Time: 2 PM IST to 11 PM IST
