Job Summary Platform Automation Engineer is a role that focuses on supporting efforts to enhance test automation, develop robust testing frameworks, and ensure the quality and performance of platform systems. Engineers in this role engage in coding, testing, and code reviews, contributing to the improvement of applications and processes for scalability and efficiency. This position involves collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality solutions and providing guidance to junior engineers in adopting automation practices. Essential Job Functions Collaborate on the design and implementation of quality engineering practices for financial technology solutions. Assist in maintaining test frameworks to ensure efficient testing across the enterprise. Work on improving automation frameworks for scalable test automation. - (15%) Help define and advocate for testing standards, automation strategies, and best practices in the SDLC. Support efforts to address performance bottlenecks and quality gaps. Contribute to the development of tools for managing test data across environments to support testing. - (15%) Assist in integrating testing tools and frameworks into the CI/CD pipeline, focusing on automating testing within the build and deployment process. - (15%) Support the development and maintenance of automated test environments and data solutions to ensure system reliability, providing engineering teams with necessary tools. - (15%) Collaborate with quality engineering, product, and business teams on best practices in test-driven development (TDD) and automation. Provide guidance to junior engineers on adopting automation practices. - (10%) Assist in the development and maintenance of tools for performance, load, and stress testing, ensuring alignment with real-world use cases. Work with infrastructure teams to configure scalable testing environments. - (10%) Demonstrate proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python) and contribute to automated testing frameworks. Support platform quality engineering in financial technology and cloud environments. - (10%) Participate in the adoption of emerging testing technologies, ensuring alignment with the company's innovation and quality strategy. - (10%) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience 2+ years of work experience in related field Preferred Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in automation or platform engineering Deep experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar modern frameworks Strong exposure to: AI/LLM tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) Test data engineering and analytics (SQL) CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms Hands-on experience with agent-driven workflows, AI-assisted automation, or evaluation frameworks preferred Skills Agile Methodology Advanced Automation Framework Design (scalable, maintainable, AI-augmented frameworks) Programming Languages (TypeScript / JavaScript / Python) CI/CD & DevOps Practices (pipeline design, intelligent quality gates, automation strategy) Test Data & Quality Intelligence (data pipelines, analytics, quality observability) AI‑Driven Quality Engineering & Agent Systems LLM Workflow Development (prompt engineering, tool orchestration, context strategies) Agent Orchestration & Automation (multi-step workflows, CI/CD agents, debugging agents) AI Evaluation & Quality Metrics (validation, benchmarking, drift detection) AI‑Assisted Test Generation & Optimization (scaling, maintenance reduction) Context Engineering & RAG Systems (retrieval workflows, grounded automation) AI Tool & Platform Integration (GitHub Copilot, AWS Kiro, AWS agent core, MCP integrations, CI/CD agent workflows, Amazon Bedrock services) Cloud Platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP, working knowledge of Bedrock & AgentCore concepts) Performance Testing & Reliability Engineering Observability, Debugging & Monitoring Problem Solving & Technical Leadership Reports To: Manager and above Direct Reports: 0 Work Environment Normal office environment, hybrid.
