Summary:

A highly skilled and experienced Platform Support Engineer with Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP), Linux, Networking concepts and other Platforms like RH Open Stack and AWS is sought.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Incident Management and resolution for Customer incidents for Live production sites wrt Platform Issues and incidents with aggressive timelines (SLA)
• Handling network outages & Emergencies that involves debugging and providing immediate resolutions.
Exposure on Ceph storage and its handling wrt redundancy.
Working closely with customers and onsite teams across the globe.
Raising and tracking issues with other partner vendors.
Executing Production changes, Configs, Software upgrades, License renewals and other production changes in Approved Maintenance windows.
Analysis and finding RCA for complex issues in platform for Mobile telecom domain.
RHOCP Expertise: Serve as the SME for RHOCP, providing guidance, performing version upgrades, and implementing/managing OpenShift Operators
Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in the IT/Telecom industry
• 3+ years of experience working with virtualization technologies (vSphere, Xen, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization, Docker, PowerCLI, or Microsoft Hyper-V) and cloud technologies like RH Open Shift & OpenStack Platform.
• Strong working & troubleshooting experience in Linux/CentOS/Ubuntu
• Should be conversant with CLI for RedHat OpenShift & Openstack modules like NOVA, SWIFT, GLANCE, NEUTRON, HEAT.
Expertise in Handling Ceph and storage issues.
Expertise in Handling PVCs and its knowledge
• Understanding of core networking topology and devices (switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers)
• Experience on Shell Scripting or Python
• Experience in Automation Tools like Ansible or Chef or Puppet.
• Container technologies Docker, Kubernetes Infrastructure-as-as-Service IaaS products
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong communication and writing skills required.
• Should be comfortable to travel.
Qualifications:
• BE/BTech/BSC/M.Tech/MCA .

Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
Technical confident to present to customers and to cross functional teams
Flexibility to Work in Shifts and Oncall Rota
