Scope of Role
Power Electronics (OBC, DC-DC, inverters – preferred), EV/PHEV charging systems and architectures, HV/LV electrical systems and interfaces

Area of Responsibility
Technical Leadership
Lead development of Power Electronics and Charging Modules (OBC, DC-DC converters, HV/LV interfaces, charging inlets, related ECUs).
Own system requirements definition, cascading, and validation from vehicle-level down to component-level.
Drive technical decision-making, design reviews, and architecture selection.
Ensure compliance with automotive standards, safety, EMC, and regulatory requirements.
Program & Delivery Ownership
Lead commodity development from KO to SOP, including concept, design freeze, DV, PV, and launch support.
Ensure achievement of QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.
Manage engineering deliverables in alignment with program milestones and gateways.
Lead issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions across development phases.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
Act as technical interface to suppliers, managing RFQs, technical evaluations, and supplier performance.
Review and approve supplier designs, DFMEA, DVP&R, validation results, and PPAP documentation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, NVH, Thermal, Packaging, and Safety.
Validation, Quality & Compliance
Define and approve DVP&R, test plans, and validation strategies.
Ensure compliance with functional safety (ISO 26262), ASPICE, EMC, thermal, and durability requirements.
Support quality activities such as 8D, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.
Mentorship & Governance
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Establish best practices, standardization, and knowledge management for the commodity.
Support strategic roadmap development for future power electronics and charging technologies.
Tools - MATLAB / Simulink, ASPICE, ISO 26262

Knowledge / Experience – 4 to 8 Years
Essential:
DC-Dc converter, inverter, power electronics + charging module experience.
Package interaction from mechanical and electrical side.
HVJB experience preferred.
Ownership mindset, problem solving, customer focus.

Qualification:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics / Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
