Role Overview
We are looking for a Practice Lead – Embedded Systems & IoT to drive the strategy, architecture, and execution of embedded and connected product engineering initiatives. This role will lead the development of scalable embedded systems and IoT solutions, combining deep technical expertise with leadership and business acumen.
You will be responsible for building and growing the embedded practice, driving innovation across firmware, hardware integration, and IoT ecosystems, and enabling next-generation connected solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership
Define and drive the embedded systems and IoT practice vision, roadmap, and strategy
Build reusable frameworks and accelerators for connected embedded solutions
Establish best practices across firmware development, hardware integration, and IoT architectures
Architecture & Technical Leadership
Design end-to-end architectures for embedded systems integrated with IoT platforms
Drive development of systems combining:
Microcontrollers / processors (ARM Cortex, etc.)
Sensors and actuators
Connectivity layers (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, MQTT, etc.)
Ensure seamless integration between edge devices and cloud ecosystems
Lead adoption of RTOS, Embedded Linux, and edge computing architectures
Delivery & Engineering Excellence
Oversee delivery of embedded and IoT programs from concept to production
Ensure high standards in performance, scalability, and reliability
Drive optimization of real-time data processing and system efficiency
Guide teams in complex debugging, system validation, and integration
Innovation & Thought Leadership
Drive innovation in connected systems and smart device ecosystems
Lead development of PoCs and next-gen solutions in IoT and embedded domains
Evaluate emerging technologies in edge AI, IIoT, and smart devices
People & Capability Development
Build and mentor high-performing embedded and IoT engineering teams
Provide technical leadership across firmware, hardware, and connectivity domains
Drive hiring, training, and upskilling within the practice
Client & Business Engagement
Collaborate with clients to design connected product strategies
Support pre-sales, solutioning, and technical proposals
Identify opportunities in smart homes, industrial IoT, healthcare, and automotive domains
Core Technical Expertise
Embedded Systems
Strong understanding of:
Microcontrollers / microprocessors (ARM Cortex, etc.)
Sensors and actuators integration
Expertise in Embedded C/C++ and Python
IoT Ecosystem
Deep knowledge of connected device architectures
Experience with:
Connectivity protocols: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, Zigbee, MQTT
Device-to-cloud communication models
Operating Systems
Hands-on experience with:
RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems)
Embedded Linux systems
System Integration
Experience interfacing:
Sensors, actuators, and communication modules
Strong understanding of real-time data processing and remote device management
