Role Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished Principal Engineer – Fire Protection, Fire Alarm & ELV Systems to join our NextGen Design Studio. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, global project exposure, and strong leadership capabilities in delivering integrated Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and ELV system designs across complex projects.
This role will lead digitally enabled engineering solutions, drive multidisciplinary coordination, mentor engineering teams, and contribute strategically to Pinnacle’s leadership in next-generation engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of complex Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and ELV systems across diverse building typologies and international markets, particularly UK and Middle East projects.
Develop integrated engineering solutions for systems including sprinkler, hydrant, gas suppression, fire alarm, voice evacuation, CCTV, access control, structured cabling, PA systems, and other ELV services.
Champion digital-first and BIM-driven design methodologies aligned with Pinnacle’s NextGen and P³ approach.
Ensure seamless multidisciplinary coordination with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Architecture, and Structural teams.
Review engineering calculations, system layouts, specifications, and technical deliverables to ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and design teams, fostering innovation and engineering excellence.
Engage with clients, consultants, and stakeholders as a technical expert representing Pinnacle’s engineering capabilities.
Drive quality assurance, sustainability initiatives, and continuous process improvements across design delivery.
Support adoption of emerging technologies, AI-enabled workflows, and advanced digital engineering practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and ELV system design and delivery.
Strong experience in complex building projects including commercial, healthcare, data centers, high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, and industrial developments.
Proven exposure to international projects across UK, Middle East, or other global markets.
Strong knowledge of international codes and standards including NFPA, BS, IBC, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, IEC, and related ELV standards.
Professional certifications/memberships such as PE, CEng, NFPA, SFPE, IFE, CIBSE, BICSI, or equivalent are highly preferred.
Hands-on expertise in BIM platforms and digital engineering tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related design software.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and team mentoring capabilities.
