The Foundation is setting up 30 hospitals across 6 states. The first hospital is under construction at Ranchi and will expand to a medical college. Join the team that is setting up and commissioning these hospitals.
In this role you will lead all statutory compliance, regulatory approvals needed for operationalisation of all the hospitals and Healthcare Institutes of the Foundation. You will serve as the central owner of compliance systems and regulatory engagement.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Licensing
Lead procurement and renewal of all statutory licences (CTE, CTO, Fire NOC, Trade Licence, etc.)
Manage approvals related to electrical systems, boilers, medical gases, and hazardous materials
Liaise with regulatory authorities including PCB, PESO, Electrical Inspectorate, and municipal bodies
Bio-Medical Waste & Safety Compliance
Establish and manage biomedical waste systems as per regulatory norms
Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and staff adherence to safety protocols
Medico-Legal Compliance
Set up and manage medico-legal systems (MLC, POCSO, NDPS, MTP compliance)
Ensure accurate documentation and coordination with legal and enforcement agencies
Medical College Operationalisation (NMC Compliance)
Lead NMC approval processes including LOI and affiliation
Ensure compliance with infrastructure, faculty, and clinical requirements
Coordinate inspections and ensure readiness of hospital departments for academic use
Accreditation & Quality Systems
Drive NABH accreditation (entry-level and full)
Establish SOPs, conduct audits, and track quality indicators
Labour & Employment Compliance
Ensure adherence to labour laws and statutory requirements
Coordinate with HR on EPF, ESIC, contract labour, and filings
Compliance Tracking & Governance
Maintain a central compliance tracker and reporting system
Provide regular updates to leadership and proactively mitigate risks
Act as the primary interface for all regulatory interactions
Requirements
Master’s degree in Hospital Administration / Management
10–15 years of experience in hospital compliance / operations
Mandatory experience in medical college setup or NMC compliance
Strong exposure to licensing, NABH accreditation, and regulatory processes
Experience in greenfield hospital projects preferred
