Job Title Project Manager Job Description Project Manager You are responsible for executing small innovation projects within specified parameters, leveraging existing solutions for faster development or leading single-discipline projects contributing to broader innovation initiatives under general supervision. The role actively participates in change efforts and establishes influential relationships with stakeholders, collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth execution, tracking progress, mitigating risks, and escalating issues when necessary. The role contributes to project planning, maintains accurate documentation, and seeks opportunities for improvement while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The role demonstrates a customer-centric approach throughout the project lifecycle, and exercises judgement within defined procedures, applying analytical skills to resolve medium complexity requests efficiently. Your role Executes small innovation projects within agreed timelines, budgets, and resource constraints, potentially reusing existing solutions for faster development, managing a specific sub-section of a larger project to ensure alignment with overall goals, or leading small, single-discipline projects that contribute to a broader innovation initiative. Participates in change efforts actively, and establishes influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders, cultivating effective working connections, working under general supervision. Provides and implements small design projects within agreed-upon specifications, timelines, budgets, and staffing, managing a small project team as part of a larger initiative to ensure successful execution of a specific sub-process. Develops a foundational understanding of project management methodologies, relevant organizational structures, and end-to-end processes, applying basic planning methods and estimation techniques (resources, time, and risk) specific to the design discipline. Collaborates with project teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, tracking progress against milestones, identifying, and mitigating potential risks through proactive planning, and escalating issues to senior management when necessary to ensure timely resolution. Contributes to project planning by assisting in developing detailed project plans that define project scope, timelines, budget, and resource allocation, including estimating resource needs, identifying potential dependencies, and outlining clear communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed. Maintains accurate and up-to-date project documentation including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports, ensuring transparency and facilitating knowledge transfer for future project phases or team members to quickly understand project context and progress. Seeks opportunities to learn and improve project management skills, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, by attending training sessions on Agile methodologies or project risk management, participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives with senior colleagues, or seeking feedback from project stakeholders to identify areas for personal growth. Maintains clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders including team members, clients, and management, providing regular project updates, facilitating meetings to discuss progress and address concerns, and actively soliciting feedback to ensure everyone is aligned on project goals and expectations. Demonstrates a customer-centric approach by actively understanding and responding to customer needs and feedback throughout the project lifecycle, potentially conducting customer interviews to gather initial requirements, incorporating customer feedback into project iterations, and ensuring the final project solution effectively addresses customer needs. Exercises judgment within defined procedures/practices to determine appropriate action, applying analytical skills to resolve medium complexity requests efficiently. You are a part of: DXR R&D group which is a global organization organized by product tiers & platforms. Each product tier is composed of various products & solutions. The DXR R&D is located primarily in Pune but is responsible for the R&D activity done globally. You are fit if: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical /Electrical engineering with 10+ years of work experience. Strong technical background in R&D engineering disciplines (e.g. electronics, software, mechanics) to manage multidisciplinary (R&D) stakeholder/perception management skills Excellent integral (cross functional) stakeholder/perception management skills PMP certification is desirable. Accountable/Reliable Organizational talent, Decision taker, entrepreneur Pro-active and taking initiative with enterprise mindset Ability to handle cultural differences and foreign development teams (e.g. related to supplier and subcontract management) Familiar with Q-systems and standards Flexibility to work with changing priorities. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Convincing communicator and open for different views How we work together: We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This role is an office-based role.
