Key Responsibilities &

Core Competencies

Knowledge of vehicle structures (BIW, chassis, assemblies).Good knowledge of automotive standards for Full Vehicle simulations.

Chassis/Break/ Suspension design and Build process.

Electrical Schematic & wiring harness design for trucks & buses.

Create high-quality FE meshes for components and full vehicle models.

Should have 3+ years’ experience commercial vehicle design & Development

Electrical Schematic & wiring harness design for trucks & buses.

Perform geometry cleanup and mid-surface extraction.

Experience in PDM environment preferably Windchill and Creo

Connector selection for Low Voltage (LV) wiring harnesses.

Ensure mesh quality as per standards (aspect ratio, skewness, warpage).

Experience in automotive related industries in the field of Chassis engineering, Chassis aggregates packaging and structural designs / Bus Body design

\Connector selection for High Voltage (HV) wiring harnesses.

Assign appropriate element types (shell, solid, beam, etc.).

Design of brake system design & development,

Routing, clamping, fixation & define insulations of LV cables.

Define connections (spot welds, seams, bolts, adhesives).

Suspension system design and development

Technical reviews with all stakeholders.

Prepare models for different analyses (crash, durability, NVH).

Engine, After treatment System, Exhaust design and development

Support to part development.

Work closely with CAE analysts to meet model requirements.

Knowledge of Bus/Truck industry

Schematic, 2d wiring harness design & development.

Adhere to project timelines and delivery milestones.

Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design.

Maintain meshing guidelines and documentation.

Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes.

battery electric domain/EV candidates preferred

Selections of components like fuses, relays, connectors, wires, clips, bundle insulations.

Tools & Software

Strong experience in CAE tools (Hyper Mesh,Optistruct Nastran.

Creo, Experience in PDM environment preferably Windchill

Knowledge of the CAD tool Creo parametric & PLM Windchill.
