WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM
We are looking for experienced engineers with minimum 3 years in the upstream
oil and gas industry, who will drive innovation and conduct reservoir simulation
studies to support ExxonMobil’s global portfolio of Deepwater, Conventional,
Heavy Oil & Unconventional assets.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Build computational models and simulations using proprietary and vendor tools
to develop new technologies, enhance design and operational practices and
address evolving business needs.
* Build or update high fidelity reservoir simulation models, history-match
using available field data, and forecast dynamic predictions using calibrated
models
* Perform data QA/QC and correct anomalies, analyze trends to recognize
deviations and inconsistencies
* Interpret field experimental data (DAS/pressure/tracer data) and generate
data driven insights to evaluate technologies and provide inputs to business
decisions
* Conduct fit for purpose reservoir simulation analysis to accurately predict
dynamic performance and provide appropriate technical inputs to support
business decisions like workovers, infill drilling, facility capacity &
operational thresholds, field development and reserves estimation
* Quantify subsurface uncertainties using multi scenario modeling methods
* Conduct research and development on new technologies, methods, or best
practices using simulation models to provide engineering design
recommendations for business decisions.
* Work closely with global business units and central capability groups to
integrate geologic, reservoir and production data into reservoir simulation
models, conduct or coordinate reservoir studies to robustly assess dynamic
performance of our conventional, heavy oil, unconventional and carbon storage
reservoirs
* Collaborate with geologists, wells/completion engineers, data scientists, and
petro-physicists, as needed, to ensure that the range of uncertainty in
dynamic performance predictions are presented to management
* Support evaluation and enhancement of reservoir simulation workflows, tools
and technologies
* Prepare technical reports to share results and analysis of simulation studies
with internal and external stakeholders
