About the Role
As a Security Analyst at Cyncly, you will play a key role in protecting the
company’s digital assets by proactively identifying and mitigating cyber risks,
monitoring security systems for threats, and responding to incidents. You’ll
collaborate with teams across the organization to strengthen security practices,
ensure compliance with industry standards, and help foster a culture of security
awareness, all while working in a dynamic, global technology environment.
 

Key Position Responsibilities Include:

* Monitor and optimize Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft XDR, and other Microsoft
security tools for threat detection and response.
* Added, configured, and optimized diverse log sources to strengthen security
detection capabilities and ensure effective monitoring across systems.
* Analyze logs and alerts across multiple sources to identify anomalies and
potential security incidents.
* Lead or assist in triaging, investigating, and responding to security
incidents, including root cause analysis and post-incident documentation.
* Integrate threat intelligence feeds into Microsoft security platforms and
assess emerging threats and vulnerabilities to recommend proactive measures.
* Adhere to and improve SOC workflows, including alert handling, escalation,
and reporting; maintain and update incident response playbooks and
threat-hunting procedures.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security
policies; generate detailed reports on incidents, trends, and overall
security posture for management and audits.
* Identify opportunities to automate SOC tasks using Microsoft security tools
and optimize detection rules and response workflows for efficiency and
accuracy.
* Stay current on new security features and industry best practices to
continuously improve security operations.
* Collaborate with IT, network, and application teams to strengthen security
posture.
* Clearly present technical findings to all stakeholders and assist the rest of
the team to promote knowledge sharing.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science,
or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
* 3-8 years of experience in information security, IT operations, or risk
management.
* Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO
27001), and best practices.
* Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, endpoint
protection, and identity management systems.
* Familiarity with incident response, threat analysis, and risk assessment
methodologies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to
collaborate across teams.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
