Senior Accountant

Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our Revenue Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue accounting and contract revenue, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and current accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
Handle revenue recognition and contract accounting processes.
Collaborate with Regional Controller Teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
Play a pivotal role in the revenue acceptance process by reviewing and approving funds availability for services.
Communicate and collaborate with account managers to resolve fund availability issues and maximize revenue.
Run Salesforce Database reports to review contracts and capture financial elements into the Contra Revenue System (CRS).
Lead country call meetings with business managers to review and adjust accruals based on deal performance.
Ensure a timely and accurate financial close, including creation and review of journal entries.
Prepare GL reconciliations for waivers, rebates, advisors, and variance analysis of actual vs. forecast.
Prepare various analytics, metric reports, and assist in quarterly reporting for the corporate team.
Assist with project-specific work related to rebates and incentives, and advisor rejections for the region.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in accounting or finance (Chartered Accountant / CPA preferred).
Progressive accounting experience, preferably in a large, global environment.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in revenue accounting and contract management.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards such as ASC 606 or IFRS.
Advanced MS Excel and financial/ERP systems experience, preferably with Oracle.
Ability to produce accurate and reliable outputs/results.
Strong bias on controls and ensuring processes and procedures are followed.
Results-oriented with an ability to work under pressure and deliver structured outputs.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with account managers and colleagues at various levels.
Proactive in building relationships with business partners.
Experience in basic issue resolution and exposure to complex issue resolution.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and current accounting concepts.
Prior experience in supporting business process transitions and process improvement projects.
Capable of working in a changing environment with excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
