Summary Job Description Summary Guidewire is seeking a Senior Business Analyst –
Guidewire BillingCenter to join our Professional Services team. In this role,
you will partner with P&C insurance clients to translate complex billing and
finance processes into scalable solutions on Guidewire BillingCenter and the
broader InsuranceSuite on Guidewire Cloud. You will lead requirements, drive
solution design decisions, and ensure that delivered capabilities align with
both business value and out‑of‑the‑box (OOTB) product behavior. Job Description
Key Responsibilities Requirements & Analysis Lead workshops, interviews, and
discovery sessions with business stakeholders, billing operations, and finance
teams to elicit and document business and system requirements related to premium
billing, payment processing, delinquency, and disbursements. Analyze current
billing workflows (invoicing cycles, payment plans, collections, refunds,
producer commissions) and identify gaps and optimization opportunities when
moving to BillingCenter. Decompose high‑level business needs into
well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery

Functional Design & Specification Translate billing and financial requirements
into functional specifications for configuration and integration teams working
on Integration Gateway, App Events, Cloud API, REST APIs, batch processes, and
event messaging. Recommend where to leverage BillingCenter OOTB capabilities
versus where extensions or integrations are justified, ensuring solutions remain
maintainable and cloud‑ready. Provide functional input into solution options and
support impact analysis across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, financial systems, and
downstream reporting. Agile Delivery & Leadership Own and refine the functional
backlog for BillingCenter features; support estimation, prioritization, and
sprint planning in Agile/Scrum environments. Act as functional lead for the
BillingCenter track, aligning work across cross‑functional teams (developers,
QA, architects, integration, and digital). Support test planning by defining
test scenarios and data for functional, integration, and UAT cycles; assist in
defect triage where functional clarification is required. Stakeholder Management
& Communication Serve as the primary functional contact for billing-related
topics with client product owners, SMEs, finance, and operations stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver functional documentation, process flows, demo scripts, and
stakeholder updates that clearly explain scope, decisions, and impacts.
Facilitate trade‑off discussions, manage expectations, and ensure alignment
between business goals, timelines, and solution design. Required Skills &
Experience Domain & Industry Experience : 6–10 years of experience as a Business
Analyst in the P&C insurance domain, with a strong focus on
policy/billing/finance processes. Guidewire & Technical Skills Guidewire
BillingCenter (highly preferred): Core Billing Domain Expertise: Strong domain
knowledge in insurance billing processes, including invoicing, payment
allocation, credit allocation, delinquency lifecycles, disbursements, producer
commissions. Billing models : Strong practical experience with both agency bill
and direct bill models, across account‑level and policy‑level billing, including
setup of billing accounts, commission handling and associated delinquency and
write‑off processes. Guidewire BillingCenter OOTB: Specific hands-on experience
or familiarity with Guidewire BillingCenter configurations and its
"out-of-the-box" (OOTB) billing features is highly preferred. Guidewire Suite
Exposure (Nice to Have): Strong understanding of Guidewire InsuranceSuite
Integrations (PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter/BillingCenter) and exposure to the
Guidewire Cloud Platform. Experience participating in at least one end‑to‑end
BillingCenter implementation, upgrade, or cloud migration is a strong plus.
Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with integration technologies such as
Integration Gateway, App Events, Cloud API, and REST APIs, particularly for
financial data exchange. Methods, Tools & Certifications Certifications:
Guidewire BillingCenter Specialist certification is a significant plus. Agile
Proficiency: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, backlog grooming, and
