About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Linux Administrator to join our CorpTech Specialist team. You will be responsible for maintaining and securing our Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability of Linux Workspaces by monitoring system health, automating routine tasks, and resolving complex technical issues.

Job Responsibilities

▪ Linux Workspace Management: Maintain and support Rocky Linux 8 and Ubuntu AWS WorkSpaces across multiple regions. Diagnose and resolve workspace failures.
▪ Automation & Scripting: Develop and implement Shell, Python, or YAML scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
▪ DevOps & Cloud Integration: Utilize Git, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for infrastructure deployment and management.
▪ Performance & Monitoring: Monitor workspace performance - CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network — using Grafana, and CloudWatch. Build and maintain dashboards and alerts for workspace health and infrastructure metrics.
▪ Network & Firewall Administration: Manage Palo Alto firewalls - SSL decryption policies, URL filtering, and security rules. Troubleshoot DNS, routing, and connectivity issues across Linux environments.
▪ Troubleshooting: Resolve complex issues related to WorkSpaces performance, connectivity, and session issues. Address SSH connectivity, SSL/key management, and firewall/security group configuration.
▪ User Support: Extend technical support to system users through effective knowledge of Linux system management.
▪ Log Management: Monitor and analyze logs to detect and address issues proactively, preventing potential system failures and ensuring seamless operations.
▪ Knowledge of Identity, Access & Security Systems: Manage user lifecycle in Active Directory / Entra AD - provisioning, deprovisioning, and access.
▪ Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal technical documentation.

Requirements

▪ 3-4 years of experience in Linux system administration (RHEL / Rocky Linux 8 and Ubuntu)
▪ Strong understanding of OS and kernel internals, network stack, and filesystem operations
▪ Hands-on experience with Ansible — writing and debugging roles, templates, and collections
▪ Good knowledge of AWS services: EC2, WorkSpaces, IAM, Lambda, FSx, CloudWatch, S3, VPC, Systems Manager
▪ Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, iptables / firewalld, SSL/TLS
▪ Experience with Palo Alto — Panorama, security and decryption policy management
▪ Familiarity with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure and networking resources
▪ Monitoring and observability experience: Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
▪ Python and Bash scripting for operational automation
▪ Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex, distributed systems
▪ Strong communication skills and attention to detail
