Job Title: Senior Product Designer (DCF 35)

Location: Bangalore / Pune

Practice: Experience Design (XD) – Merkle / Dentsu Global Services

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Designer (DCF 35), you are a high-impact individual contributor who owns end-to-end design delivery across complex product journeys within global client pods (US/UK/India).

You operate at the intersection of UX craft, systems thinking, and delivery excellence, translating ambiguous problem spaces into scalable, high-quality design solutions. You are expected to independently lead workstreams, contribute to business outcomes, and actively elevate team capability.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Experience Design
Own end-to-end design for features / journeys across discovery → definition → delivery
Translate business and user needs into clear problem statements, flows, and interaction models
Deliver high-quality UX and UI aligned to design systems and accessibility standards
Contribute to experience strategy and solutioning in collaboration with XD, Product, and Engineering
Delivery Excellence (Client / Pod Model)
Work within global pods (US/UK/India) to deliver against timelines and quality expectations
Ensure design readiness for development (handoff clarity, edge cases, states, documentation)
Actively participate in design critiques, sprint rituals, and client reviews
Maintain high utilization / chargeability (aligned to 80–85% targets)
Craft & Systems Thinking
Apply and extend design systems (tokens, components, patterns) effectively
Ensure consistency, scalability, and reusability across solutions
Demonstrate strong interaction design, visual hierarchy, and usability principles
Leverage data, heuristics, and user insights to inform decisions
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate effectively with Product, Tech, Strategy (XS), and Visual Design (VD)
Communicate design decisions with clarity and rationale (not just outputs)
Participate in client conversations with confidence, focusing on outcomes over outputs
Capability Building & Culture
Contribute to team learning through critiques, knowledge sharing, and mentoring juniors (DCF 25/30)
Actively participate in XD practice initiatives (XEN / XEN+)
Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a growth mindset
AI & Future-Ready Design
Leverage AI tools (e.g., Figma AI, generative tools, prototyping accelerators) to improve speed and exploration
Focus on problem framing, direction setting, and evaluation of solutions while using AI for execution efficiency

Core Skills

Required Skills & Experience

Strong UX fundamentals: IA, interaction design, usability, journey mapping
Good visual design sensibility (layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy)
Experience working with design systems and component-based design
Proficiency in Figma (advanced), prototyping tools, and collaboration workflows

Experience

4–7 years of experience in product design / UX design
Experience working on complex digital products (B2B / SaaS preferred)
Exposure to global stakeholders / distributed teams is a strong plus
