Education: B.Tech, B.E, MCA, BSC-IT - (No BCA, Bcom, BA)

Key Responsibilities and Duties
● Lead the development and maintenance of backend APIs that powers various products
● Solve complex technical problems to improve our development process, increase our efficiency and unlock new business opportunities.
● Take initiative to improve existing solutions, challenge decisions, propose augmented alternatives and address technical debt.
● Lead the technical discussion around software architecture and guide the team to make decisions that are agile, incremental and beneficial for the long term
● Responsible to refactor and simplify code by introducing design patterns when necessary and guide more junior members of the team in this topic
● Coach, guide and improve the overall performance of more junior colleagues

The job requirements

● Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in software engineering development with extensive knowledge of at least one backend language like Perl, Java, NodeJS (JavaScript) or Python
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field or 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty as equivalent
● Extensive knowledge and experience in domain based systems design including API design, management, documentation and governance
● Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and cooperate with people at all levels
● Experience with mentoring, coaching and training team members, formal and informal
● Experience driving successful technical, business and people related initiatives that improved productivity, performance and quality
● Demonstrable experience with MySQL or similar relational databases
● Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
● Experience working with teams located in different timezones is a plus
● Experience with statistics and A/B testing is a plus
