Pocket FM is where stories go from “just an idea” to “can’t-stop-listening.”
We’re mixing creativity + tech + AI to build the next era of storytelling — think binge-worthy plots, global audiences, and tools that actually help writers create faster.

We’re looking for a story nerd who also gets AI
This role is all about breaking down stories, fixing weak scripts, and turning AI-generated content into binge-worthy, culturally sharp audio experiences for global (especially U.S.) audiences.
You’ll analyze plots, pacing, dialogue, and character arcs spot what’s not working and make it better using both creative instinct + structured thinking.
It’s part writing, part research, part experimentation with AI tools where your feedback directly improves how stories are created at scale.

What you'll do:
1. Feedback, Research & Script Evaluation
Conduct in-depth, actionable feedback research on both AI-written and human-written shows, analyzing cultural context, narrative choices, and structural nuances to guide AI-driven adaptations.
Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs for language, tone, flow, cultural accuracy, character development, genre alignment, and audio-friendliness.
Assess source material for narrative structure, cultural relevance, character relatability, pacing, and overall story believability.
Provide structured, iterative creative-writing feedback to improve scripts and ensure alignment with U.S. audience expectations.
2. Pattern Diagnosis & Craft-Level Analysis
Identify recurring failure patterns in adaptation outputs and propose solutions at both the craft and tooling/model levels.
Break down writing using a technical craft lens (scene construction, episodic design, arc structure, etc.) to pinpoint where the tool is faltering and why.
Track and bucket issues accurately across shows.
3. Prompting, Testing & Workflow Improvement
Design, test, and iterate on prompts and prompting strategies to drive creative improvements and reduce errors.
Conduct iterative experimentation across shows to understand how prompts influence outputs and refine them accordingly.
Improve existing workflows by tracking failure points and integrating learnings back into systems.
4. Tooling & System Development
Develop, test, and refine AI tools (including pacing systems, co-referencing tools, error-detection tools, audio-friendly formatting tools, and adaptation guides) to improve story quality and workflow efficiency.
Document best practices, insights, and recurring issues to guide future tool improvements.
5. Collaboration & Training
Collaborate with engineering, production, and other internal teams to integrate tools effectively and refine adaptation systems based on real-world use.
Train internal teams on how to use AI tools efficiently, interpret outputs, and integrate workflows into their pipelines.
Build and maintain SOPs and other documentation to support scalable, high-quality adaptation workflows.

What We’re Looking For
Background in screenwriting / fiction writing
Strong grip on story structure, dialogue & pacing
Understanding of AI tools / LLM behavior (basic level works)
Good sense of U.S. culture, tone & storytelling style
Detail-oriented + loves analyzing stories deeply
Educational background in screenwriting, novel writing, creative writing, film, and linguistics
Experience rewriting or adapting fiction, including novels, scripts, web fiction, audio scripts, or similar formats.
Comfortable working in iterative AI-assisted environments, including prompt development, tool usage, output evaluation, and demonstrating literacy with large language models (LLMs).

Why you’ll love working with us:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the next frontier in entertainment media.
Opportunity to lead high-impact projects and influence the future of visual content at scale.
Learn and grow in a supportive, fast-paced setup that values experimentation and creativity.
Join a passionate team working at the intersection of art, tech, and storytelling.
