The SMR (Small Modular Reactor) constitutes a new and innovating segment of activity for the new nuclear industry, based on a 100 MWe / 500 MWe range. The SMR technology is intended to reduce the initial financial effort for investors, to facilitate construction scale adaptation through its modular approach, and to allow more possibility in the choice of site locations. It is also intended to increase the safety and security levels of installation compared to existing facilities. A greater level of in-factory pre-fabrication is also intended in this kind of project, so as to reduce the lead time on site for ground works and construction, which will in turn reduce the exposure to further financial efforts. With a specific focus on steam turbines and generators, this Project Manager role is responsible for: Lead towards achievement of the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) including: Ensure full conformity with local laws & regulations, including in the domain EHS, Ensure full conformity with business directives / procedures and project commercial strategy, Be accountable for profits and losses on the allocated scope of works, while delivering within the contractual timeframe and within budget, improving the free cash flow while ensuring the best-in-class level of quality. Ensure customer satisfaction, Maintain sufficient allocation of resources to the project in coordination with the Project Director and function leaders. Manage risks & opportunities on the allocated scope of works. Manage and lead a dedicated team for the allocated scope of works to successfully achieve SQDC, including: Set-up and maintain operating rhythms, Ensure coordination with functions leadership (Engineering, Procurement, fabrication Construction and Project Management) Drive teamwork for problem solving for any delays, quality concerns and cost slippage. Maintain and develop relationship with subcontractors and suppliers involved and ensure transparent communication and efficient coordination across the complete chain on the allocated scope of works. Take part in the overall time scheduling and the overall management of the project by: Contributing to project execution strategy definition and reviews Contributing to identification of tools and processes improvements to foster project execution efficiency, Preparing the supporting elements for the project reviews within the limit of the allocated scope Providing constructive & positive feedback to individual project contributors Reporting lessons learned and experienced feedback to participate the overall continuous improvement process. In addition to its project manager role, the Project Manager will also act has procurement & logistic leader for his/her scope of works, including: Establish the procurement strategy for its scope of works, Define the details of the procurement plan with target panel, the type of purchase (BtS/BtP/CGI), the surveillance level, etc. – EPP, Procurement concept and PO templates will be defined by the PM to capture these details, Define the appropriate purchasing T&Cs for its scope of works jointly with the contract manager, Defining the complete purchasing time schedule, consistently with the overall time schedule, Ensure exhaustiveness of the suppliers / product qualifications, Supervise issuance of purchase requests until purchase order placement, Ensure technical files are made available to the procurement team, in-time and with sufficient quality, Invest time in the complex negotiations with suppliers, including for claims, Organize suppliers’ selection committees, Ensure allocation of sufficient resources for supplier’s follow-up and expediting and monitor suppliers’ execution performance jointly with the order follow-up team. Invest time in the supplier’s follow-up, problem-solving and expediting with critical suppliers. Experience: University degree in Engineering, economy or business administration 10 years + experience in Knowledge in energy industry with at least 5 months in one the following disciplines: tendering, engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning or project management on complex infrastructure projects. Extensive experience in energy new build industry, preferably in manufacturing design & manufacturing industry of conventional island products. Experience in Turbine & Generator procurement & manufacturing industry would be a great plus Proven experience in leading teams to achieve Project Management excellence Knowledge Extensive knowledge of project management fundamentals (commercial management, planning, project control, etc.), Familiar with suppliers/subcontractors’ relationship management Able to lead cross-functional teams, Basic knowledge in nuclear safety fundamentals Extensive knowledge of procurement processes Language: English and French Join us and work with global teams to support global customers !
