We’re looking for a Software & System Test Automation Engineer to join our OEM
R&D team in Bangalore with hands-on experience and leadership capability to
stabilize and strengthen the MasterConnect test team. This role requires
ownership of test automation, test strategy and release validation, with a focus
on improving test quality and reducing dependency on development. Key
Responsibilities Lead or coordinate testing activities, ensuring clear ownership
and accountability within the test team Take ownership of test planning,
execution and release validation for the MasterConnect mobile application Mentor
and guide junior team members and improve overall team capability Drive and
implement test automation (Robot Framework / API / Mobile) with hands-on
contribution Contribute to improving test frameworks (including BLE mock, API
automation and CI/CD integration) Identify test coverage gaps and improve
regression depth (including negative, edge, and integration scenarios) Ensure
early validation of features by working closely with Development teams Establish
structured validation checkpoints before release and ensure quality sign-off
readiness Must Have Skills Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science,
Information Science or equivalent, with 8+ years of relevant experience in test
automation Strong hands-on experience in test automation using Java / Python
/JavaScript, Robot Framework / API / Mobile testing Experience in IoT domain
(BLE / Zigbee or similar) Hands-on experience in mobile application testing
(FlutterDriver / Appium or similar tools) Good understanding of testing
frameworks, methodologies, and automation design practices Strong understanding
of test design, regression strategy, and defect analysis Ability to write,
debug, and maintain automation scripts independently Experience with test
management tools (Xray) and working knowledge of Bitbucket and JIRA Experience
working in Agile teams with close Dev–QA collaboration Good communication and
coordination skills ISTQB Foundation certification is an advantage Key Success
Criteria (First 3–6 months) Able to independently contribute to automation and
testing within first 4–6 weeks Take ownership of feature-level testing and
validation Improve regression coverage and reduce defect leakage Support
stabilization of test team by bringing structure and clarity Important Note This
